At last, the tree!

The crowds here were just ridiculous. We managed to find a small area near enough to the tree to take a few photos. It was clear that we would not get anywhere near the railing to observe any skaters that might be floating around below, so we fought our way out of there and managed to get across Avenue of the Americas just as the police were closing that crosswalk and demanding that people cross further uptown. Whew!
